Feidhlimidh Wrafter remains head of legal of Western Union Payment Services Ireland Limited (WUPSIL), Western Union’s principal European retail money transfer regulated entity, providing legal coverage of its corporate and prudential requirements, such as renewing its new payment licence under the Second EU Payment Services Directive. He has resigned as its head of compliance to take on a new role to lead legal coverage for the risk organisation providing dedicated support for enterprise risk management and enterprise governance matters and is building a new team to focus on these areas. In 2018, Wrafter was heavily involved in leading Western Union’s GDPR program and acted as its interim data protection officer for a period in mid-2018.
