Mauro Albino has had an impressive career thus far, starting his in-house professional life at Italian global and financial services company UniCredit as a legal counsel in 2001, enabling him to gain extensive experience in banking, financial law and regulations to set him off to a promising start. Since then his in-house career has taken off, going on to subsequently join global investment management firm, Pioneer Global Asset Management in 2006 as senior legal general counsel. In 2008, Albino joined leading Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, a bank that services over 11 million customers through a nationwide network of approximately 4,000 branches and a market share no lower than 12% in most regions. He then went on to spend a further two years as head of legal and corporate affairs a smaller financial institution exclusively dedicated to not-for-profit customers, Banca Prossima. In 2013, he returned to Intesa Sanpaolo, this time to serve in his current role as general counsel for the private banking arm of the organisation.
