What are the most significant cases or transactions you and your team have been involved in?

The Kuehne+Nagel legal has been involved in a range of fascinating and complex transactions. We successfully managed to negotiate the reduction of leasing and service agreement across the region. Implementing the digitalised contract workflow and improving online communication, our team helped the company to provide better customer service. We also launched the online training program for the company, providing a range of visual training materials for legal issues.

How do you feel the pandemic has changed the world of work for in-house counsel and the function of the general counsel?

The pandemic has transformed the professional world. Remote working was introduced due to the pandemic and the hybrid working is expected to be the standard form of working in the future. The difficulties will arise when in-house lawyers build professional relationships with their business partners.

How do you suggest in-house lawyers build strong relationships with business partners?

Buidling strong relationships with business function is crucial to the in-house lawyers. While demonstrating strong business acumen, in-house legal teams are expected to provide knowledgeable and recognised legal as well as business advice to the company.
