Janelle Cain is the general counsel of EBOS Group, a market leading healthcare wholesale distributer and marketer of pharmaceutical products in Australia and New Zealand. In the role since 2015, she has brought her considerable expertise and experience to it garnered from her previous roles in the field including at Incitec Pivot, and private practice experience at elite law firms in the form of Minter Ellison and Norton Rose Fulbright in London. She is an expert in commercial law, M&A, and joint ventures as well as corporate governance regulation and supervision.
With 52 locations across Australia and New Zealand and more than 3,000 employees, EBOS Group is a giant in the healthcare sector, both human and animal, and is dual listed on the Australia and New Zealand stock exchanges with an annual revenue of over $7bn AUD. In the last year, the company has been awarded a tender to act as the exclusive third party distributor of pharmaceutical products for Chemist Warehouse and My Chemist stores in Australia, a portfolio of over 400 stores. Additionally, EBOS has announced an investment of $10.5m AUD to acquire a 14.1% shareholding in MedAdvisor, the leading digital medication management company in Australia in a bid to increase its digital offerings and move into a new space in pharmaceutical delivery in the region. With her commercial legal experience and M&A background, Cain shows her expertise in these types of deals and has been a major influence across the healthcare in-house legal sector in Australasia.
