Libby Davidson brings 20 plus years of experience in competition law, M&A, IP, corporate governance, regulations and sustainability policy to her role as group general counsel and external relations director at Lion, one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest food and beverage companies. At Lion since 2005 and the company’s general counsel since 2014, Davidson is responsible for the external relations between the company and government, community and regulatory bodies as well as for all legal matters that come across her desk.

She includes corporate reputation, sustainability policy and nutrition regulation as part of her remit having previously held various roles within the nutrition regulation team handling IP, M&A, governance regulation, food regulation and policy, and sustainability. Lion operates a diverse portfolio of food and beverage products including dairy, soy, juice, beer, cider, wine, spirits, alcoholic mixed drinks, and non-alcoholic beverages. The company has 34 operating sites and generated $5bn AUD in revenue in 2017.
