What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

We are focused on providing sound, practical and reliable legal advice to our internal clients in many matters, including antitrust, consumer law, privacy, ESG, contracts, human rights, distribution matters, compliance, intellectual property, litigation, and advocacy.

We are incredibly proud of our work during the pandemic to help the company navigate a highly regulated and constantly changing environment, securing our operation. Additionally, we secured vaccination for our employees and third-party contractors through a private-public initiative when our country’s vaccination plan was still quite restricted.

How have you harnessed technology to improve output or drive efficiencies?

My team has done an excellent job on the digital transformation front to make our work more efficient. The process was implemented, taking into consideration a strategic analysis of risks. We have extensively revised templates and adopted different digital tools to automatise our revision and signature agreements processes as much as possible. Additionally, we have introduced a signature tool to better care for our signature when signing electronically.

As we enter the next decade, what skills will an in-house lawyer need to succeed in the modern in-house industry?

As we enter the next decade, in-house lawyers must have skills such as moral compass, good judgment, deep understanding of the business, practical advice, empathy, risk assessment capabilities and leadership to succeed in the modern in-house industry.
