Focus on walking through innovation

During the last few years, we have seen how, together with the changes that have come with the normal passage of time, and the advances that this normally entails, not only new and valuable technologies have appeared, but also new ways of working, and cultural transformations within organisations.

The foregoing has had a transversal impact, which in relation to the legal areas, has had various effects in the way in which our work is carried out, the tools we count with, and the way in which the teams are organised, to give just a few examples.

In this new scenario, the work of legal directors and legal managers has added to the usual ones of this type of role, the role of becoming part of these processes of change and innovation, and from their respective role of support and leadership. This strongly promotes teams to acquire these new practices and ways of working, and adapt to this new reality, making sure that the quality of the work delivered is kept, and even improved, as well as quality of life of the members of the team. In the case of Walgreens Boots Alliance, in the different markets in which the group is present (which includes Farmacias Ahumada in Chile), this has been seen very clearly through the incorporation of new technologies, the support from legal department to new and very innovative projects that have been carried out, and in the adoption of new ways of organising the work of the teams, due to the health situation that we have experienced due to the pandemic. These have been times of transformation, which have required a high degree of flexibility and adaptation, and which have resulted in a great enrichment in our ways of working, and in our different contributions within the organisation.
