Established as a joint venture in 2016 by GC Rieber Shipping and Rasmussengruppen, Shearwater GeoServices is a seismic exploration company that provides geophysical services. The newly formed company benefits from the assistance of its international legal department, which is headed by chief legal and compliance officer Linda Rudolfsen Myklebust who is well respected in Norway’s legal industry having gained significant private practice and in-house experience since 2000. She and the team played a big role in finalising a software agreement with Spectrum in June 2018. Other landmark deals for the company in which the legal team has assisted on include being awarded two 3D seismic acquisition contracts for clients in West Africa in May 2018, as well as the acquisition Schlumberger Marine Seismic Acquisition assets in August 2018.
