Anette Hauggaard-Nielsen has over fifteen years’ experience as in-house legal counsel at internationally operating companies in the energy sector. She took up the role as director legal for electric power distribution company, Ansaldo Energia Switzerland in 2016, on which she says: ‘this acceptance confirmed to me that my colleagues from the former Alstom power business, were not only appreciative of the support provided in the past, but also trusted me to take senior management positions’. She previously worked at Alstom where she was awarded the winning team in 2008 for the best EPC contract. She was also a trainer in the commercial awareness training programme in Alstom, which she says, ‘has sharpened my capabilities for training and being able to deal with complex legal contractual issues’. In her current role she has drafted templates for various contract forms which allows the business to quickly respond to customer and partner requests.
