An accomplished corporate lawyer with nearly 20 years of experience in private practice and in-house counsel in Brazil, Tagiane Gomide Guimarães is the legal and compliance manager at Unidas, one of the largest car rental companies in Brazil with a fleet of 43,000 vehicles. In the role since 2016 with coverage of all corporate legal matters as well as IP, logistics, litigation and regulatory concerns for Unidas, Guimarães provides expert analysis, strategic planning, and management of the in-house legal team. In 2017, Locamerica announced its merger with Unidas, a process in which Guimarães was involved in the legal practicalities, and all trading continued under Unidas’ name.Prior to joining Unidas, Guimarães served as legal manager at Locamerica for nearly six years.
