CMA CGM is a leading worldwide shipping group with 445 vessels that connects with 420 ports around the world. The group employs 29,000 people worldwide and with a presence in 160 countries, requires oversight of legal operations and robust expertise in, among other areas, international maritime law.
With this in mind CMA CGM benefits from the skills and experience of its group chief general counsel, Gaëlle Boriosi. She leads the company’s legal department and started her journey at CMA CGM in November 2000 as deputy legal director. After leaving in 2012 for one year to serve as general counsel for EMEA at DaVita in the Netherlands, she re-joined CMA CGM in July 2013 as legal director, vice president legal, and after four years of diligence and dedication she was promoted to group legal director and group chief general counsel in February 2017. Boriosi continues to contribute to the company’s continuous growth, advising on new maritime, terrestrial and logistical solutions.
