Fernanda Rocha C. Pogliese leads the legal department at Energisa, a leading privately owned energy group in the electricity sector in Brazil. With proven experience as a corporate legal director in the utilities industry, and highly skilled in negotiation, drafting, litigation and corporate law, Pogliese has a strong business acumen gained from her MBA, and leads the electricity company’s legal department with skill. Energisa has three subsidiaries; Energisa Transmissão, Energisa Comercializadora, and Energisa Soluções, as well as its main distribution centre, and has been operating in Brazil for nearly 115 years. At the end of August 2018, Energisa announced its acquisition of controlling shares in Centrais Elétricas de Rondônia (Ceron) and Companhia de Eletricidade do Acre (Eletroacre); a shareholders agreement with Eletrobras, the holder of the other shares, and a concessions announcement with the Federal Government of Brazil as part of the deal. These are major achievements for Energisa and the legal department overseen by Pogliese.
