Group general counsel and general secretary | VALEO
The multinational French automotive products supplier Valeo is a constituent of the CAC 40 Index and conducts its operations through four distinct divisions that service the automotive and aftercare markets: powertrain systems; thermal systems; comfort and driving assistance systems; and visibility systems. Positioned in close proximity to each of these business units is Valeo’s distinguished legal team, which is led by the highly experienced lawyer Eric-Antoine Fredette.
Consistently praised for his strategic foresight and leadership skills, over the last two years Fredette has generated remarkable value for the business by providing advice on key transactions, including a 50-50 joint venture agreement with Siemens and a number of acquisitions related to Valeo’s strategy to develop autonomous cars. Prior to his current tenure at Valeo, Fredette spent nine years at the French communications multinational Publicis Groupe, initially as deputy general counsel and then as a group general counsel and secretary of the management board. Prior to that Fredette worked in private practice at the firms Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Moquet Borde (now Paul Hastings).
