What has been the number one challenge that has impacted you over the past year?
2022 was a busy year for the EBOS Group with the completion and integration of a large acquisition and a focus on ESG, privacy and data security. The challenge – which is a great one – is to keep up with all of the projects in the EBOS Group.
Looking forward, what technological advancements do you feel will impact the role of in-house legal teams in the future the most?
The rise of AI presents an opportunity for in-house teams but also some challenges.
What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?
Undoubtedly you need to be flexible and willing to be part of projects and issues that are not strictly ‘legal’. This can stretch your way of thinking and give you new skills – so the qualities you need to have actually support one of the key advantages of in-house, being part of a business.
