Providing legal support for the extremely diverse range of engineering products and services offered by Emerson, as well as the variety of sectors these provide for, is a task suitable for only the most effective in-house counsel. Nominators stressed her impact on Emerson’s fortunes in her areas of responsibility, particularly with internal restructuring to improve efficiency. ‘Allen has quietly helped Emerson in its internal reorganisation process’, one nominating source said. ‘The project has included acquisitions and dispositions of assets, employees and the wind up of certain subsidiaries of the group not only in Argentina but also in other countries in the Latin America regions’. Prior to her seven-and-a-half year career with Emerson, Allen practiced at private law firm Basilico, Santurio & Andrada for over six years as a lawyer specialising in corporate law and intellectual property.
