A renowned and highly-praised lawyer, Javier Davila serves as Abbott’s legal director with overall responsibility of Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. He serves as the regional corporate counsel, for the pharmaceutical company with a focus on corporate governance, business law, contractual, compliance, marketing, litigation and labour relevant experience. Davila is described by a nominators as an ‘effective team leader [who] helps members to understand their goals and help organise an action plan to ensure their goals and objectives efficiently’. Prior to this role he served as the legal director for Unilever Argentina in charge of the Southern Cone, serving as the legal director with overall responsibility of Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru and Bolivia. In this role he leads the overall legal in-house team, delivering legal business advice and solutions effectively and efficiently to all business functions, subsequently enabling sustainable growth. While at Unilever he was also a member of the Unilever committee of code of business principals and head of business integrity and compliance.
