Germán Guillermo Pennimpede joined the Argentine operations of Samsung Electronics in autumn 2016 as head of legal, public affairs and compliance for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. Although relatively new to the company, he has already helped Samsung sign up to the new electronic notification system of the National Consumer Defence Directorate (Dirección Nacional de Defensa del Consumidor). This simplified platform will help Samsung and its customers reduce the need for lengthy and bureaucratic processes in settling disputes. He moved in-house in 2011, where he served as Pernod Ricard’s head of legal, public affairs and compliance for Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. He has previously held positions with a number of leading Latin American law firms, including Estudio Beccar Varela, and at the São Paulo offices of Pinheiro Neto Advogados. After the research deadline of this publication passed, Germán Guillermo Pennimpede moved to his current role at Coca-Cola FEMSA Argentina as their legal and corporate relationships director.
