Nicole is currently general counsel of Alpiq, an energy group based in Switzerland and active in the production and trading of energy (in particular, electricity) in Europe. As general counsel, Nicole leads the legal, compliance, and regulatory functions of the Alpiq Group. She is based in Olten, Switzerland.

Before joining Alpiq in May 2022, Nicole was general counsel of Puma Energy, an energy group operating a network of service stations, airport refuelling centres, and terminals located principally in Africa, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Until 2020, Nicole held various positions at Alstom and GE in Switzerland and the UK, including various general counsel positions for different businesses and regions and senior legal positions covering supply chain, M&A, JVs and strategic alliances, project development and project finance, and investigations. Before joining Alstom in January 2008, Nicole worked in international arbitration in private practice in Geneva (Tavernier Tschanz). Nicole is a Swiss and English qualified lawyer (Geneva Bar, 2003, and Solicitor of England and Wales, 2017). She speaks fluent English, French, and German.
