Millette Asuncion-Arnedo has primary responsibility for Pfizer’s Asia Pacific’s legal function, spanning 12 jurisdictions. ‘As an in-house counsel, you are expected not just to give a legal opinion that is legally safe and risk-free’, she says. ‘You are continuously challenged to provide creative and practical solutions to enable the business to do what it needs to do’. In addition to the significant projects she has implemented within challenging jurisdictions, Asuncion-Arnedo says she finds managing and developing team members ‘particularly gratifying’.
