With over 20 years of legal experience in New Zealand and the United States, Andrew Cordner currently acts as group general counsel for the Fonterra Group, New Zealand’s multinational co-operative which stands as the world’s largest exporter of dairy products. Since joining the Group in 2007, Cordner has consolidated his knowledge of both the dairy industry and the company through several different roles in the Group. These include stints as general counsel of Fonterra Nutrition, Fonterra Latin America, Fonterra Global Ingredients and Fonterra Foodservice, evidencing a wide-ranging experience within the dairy giant’s global business. Cordner came to Fonterra after a stint in private practice as a corporate law partner at Foley Hoag, a leading corporate law firm in Boston, USA.
