What has been the number one challenge that has impacted you over the past year?

I think a major challenge that has impacted me in the last year is the return to office-based working. Dealing with traffic, the stress of people commuting, and the reluctance of much of our team to return to the office have been issues that demand that we rethink our approach, regarding flexibility, empathy, and resilience.

Looking forward, what technological advancements do you feel will impact the role of in-house legal teams in the future the most?

I feel that automation will have a significant impact, legal departments should improve their processes by implementing technological tools, developing analytics and other digitisation strategies to support the increased workload.

What is a cause, business related or otherwise, that you care about, and why?

Diversity and inclusion that promote mutual respect, solidarity and support among all of us, these are values that we need to improve as a society.
