The in-house legal team at Nutrien, the world’s largest provider of crop inputs and services, is led by executive vice president and chief legal officer Joseph Podwika. The team is recognised for its invaluable role in the delivery of corporate compliance, governance, and legal advice. The team is made up of legal experts in the potash, nitrogen and phosphate products industry. Headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Nutrien produces and distributes 26 million tonnes of potash and related phosphate and nitrogen products annually, which make up agricultural, industrial and feed products used in farming. With mining sites and production centres across North America and parts of Latin America, Nutrien is a major player in the industry. In the last year, the in-house legal team has worked on the expansion of the business portfolio including the sale of its equity position in Arab Potash Company, for C$502m to SDIC Mining Investment.
