What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?
This has been a very exciting year for the legal team. We were instrumental in ERA expanding its presence in Asia-Pacific and strengthening our leading position as Singapore’s largest listed international agency. We now have more than 22,000 agents in 648 offices across 11 countries.
From a transactions front, a particular highlight was ERA’s role in the collective sale of Chuan Park (S$890 million), which was the largest en-bloc transaction in Singapore since 2020.
We are also proud that ERA has leveraged technology and was the first estate agency in Singapore to launch a Legal AI feature on our super app for our salespersons. This has been highly well embraced and strengthens ERA’s position as a destination of choice.

How does the in-house legal team contribute to the overall dispute resolution strategy of the organisation?
No one likes disputes – it is uncomfortable and often distracting for everyone involved. Nevertheless, even as ERA adopts a dispute-avoidance culture, disagreements may crop up from time to time. When this happens, we are trusted by the organisation to provide pragmatic and principled counsel.
