Dominic Winfield joined the legal department of Qatar Railways Company in 2013 and was appointed general legal counsel in April 2018. He currently manages a team of six lawyers who are responsible for all legal matters arising across the business and its subsidiaries.  

He has over 18 years legal experience in the fields of transport, construction, corporate and commercial, hospitality and real estate. He holds an LLB from King’s College London and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2006. Prior to joining Qatar Railways Company, he worked both in-house and in private practice in London and the GCC.  

Joining Qatar Railways Company in the early stages of the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram projects has provided him with unique insights into the legal, technical complexities and challenges of constructing and then operating mass transit systems.
