Tarek Nakkach is an award-winning General Counsel, chosen as one of the most influential General Counsel in the Middle East by the Legal 500 GC Powerlist for promoting AI, technology, and law. Tarek heads the Middle East and Africa legal team for Kyndryl based in Dubai. Tarek is a technology, artificial intelligence, and law expert, as well as a regular speaker at international and regional conferences. Furthermore, Tarek is a member of the International Association of  Defense Counsel (IADC), and a Fellow at the Assuring Autonomy International Programme, University of York in the UK. The programme focuses on assurance and regulation of Robotics and Autonomous Systems.

Tarek is a part of the Digital Economy Court Working Group (DECWG) within the Dubai International Financial Center. This group was established in 2021 with the purpose of managing complex national and international conflicts concerning contemporary and evolving technologies. Their scope covers various domains, including big data, blockchain, artificial intelligence, financial technology, and cloud services. They are also involved in resolving disputes involving cutting-edge technologies like unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 3D printing, and robotics.

Tarek is the author of The Oath: The Artificial Intelligence revolution: Law, Ethics & Challenges, as well as Top Ten Issues on Liability and Regulation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Systems, Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC).
