Salvador Escalón has been leading Millicom’s legal team for over a decade. He also leads Millicom’s ethics and compliance team and has previously led Millicom’s human resources and external affairs teams.  Salvador works closely with Millicom’s board of directors and senior management on key strategic matters and corporate governance. He has a strong track record on M&A at Millicom, having led legal work on multi-billion-dollar acquisitions in Colombia, Guatemala and Panama, as well as the divestment of Millicom’s African operations. He has also successfully managed major litigation and regulatory investigations, with positive outcomes for the company. Salvador is passionate about developing and mentoring his team, as well as partnering with Millicom’s commercial and operational functions to connect communities in emerging markets to the broader global digital community.
