Nicholas Chinedu Eze has 22 years of experience in corporate commercial legal practice, garnered from diverse in-house legal backgrounds. Before joining Nestoil , an indigenous oil and gas services group, as the group general counsel and company secretary, Chinedu worked as the group company secretary of Transcorp. Before that, he worked in Fidelity Bank as senior legal counsel in charge of bank-wide dispute resolution and transactional services and, at a time, in charge of legal services for Abuja and the North for the Bank. He was also a legal and regulatory officer at Ecobank Nigeria and then Guardian Express Bank (now acquired by Heritage Bank).

Chinedu is a barrister-at-law in Nigeria, holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nigeria, a Master of Laws degree focused on corporate commercial law from the University of Lagos, Nigeria (with emphasis on the law of secured financing) and another master of laws degree (focused on offshore natural resources law) from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. He is currently a candidate for PhD in the Department of Corporate and Commercial Law, faculty of law, University of Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration (FICA); Member of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ACMR) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).

He is skilled and experienced in legal advisory services with experience in oil and gas transactions, power, contracting, negotiations, banking and secured financing, general corporate and commercial legal practice, project financing, capital market regulations, company secretarial and corporate governance, the law of the sea, arbitration and dispute resolution.
