Ana Laura Ludlow has more than 24 years of experience in the energy sector in Mexico and the United States. She has held various management positions in the natural gas, distribution, transportation, and commercialisation markets, as well as in the power market, both in power generation and supply. 

Among the roles she has held, Ana served as CEO for ENGIE’s Los Ramones Sur pipeline, one of the most relevant energy megaprojects to be built in Mexico in recent years. 

From 2015 to 2017 Ana was responsible for the asset management for 22 power plants in New England, USA (hydro, biomass, and natural gas). 

From 2017 to 2022, she served in leadership roles in the commercial areas promoting the decarbonisation of the industrial sector through efficiency and energy transition measures with the development of a portfolio of nearly 2,000 companies in various sectors with access to natural gas, renewable energy, and energy solutions. 

Ana is currently vice president of governmental affairs and sustainability where she led the most relevant free, prior, and informed consultation of the decade for one of the strategic projects of the Federal administration with 36 communities in the Southeast with a total of 205 meetings, 95 weeks of work. 

Ana is national president of the Natural Gas Commission of the Business Coordinating Council (Consejo Coordinador Empresarial), as well as leader of the power task force of the American Chamber of Commerce. 

She is a member of Voz Experta and collaborates as a mentor in the IEEE LATAM Women in Power Program to promote the development of women in the energy sector. She also participates as a columnist on energy issues for media such as Mexico Business, Energía Hoy, and others. 

Ana participated as part of the collegiate task force for the development of the sustainable taxonomy promoted by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit as representative of CANACINTRA Nacional in the energy task force. 

She was recognised as one of the 100 leaders in the energy sector in 2023 and 2024. 

During the last four years, she has participated as a speaker and panellist in more than 40 domestic and international events on energy transition, natural gas, renewable energies, biomethane, green hydrogen and women’s leadership. 

Ana is a graduate of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) where she obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree in administration.
