Globally operating technology company Linde counts over 56,000 staff and focuses on its core businesses gas and plant construction. The legal department consists of over 100 employees, among them attorneys at law, patent attorneys and compliance specialists. In his function, Solms Wittig transformed the legal department’s cluster structure into a regional and product driven structure, resulting in responsibilities allocated according to region or business unit. Wittig has also established expert groups overarching lines of reporting to facilitate international knowledge exchange and harmonise the approach and way of working.
