The team is constantly involved in multiple international USDM+ arbitration and court cases.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

It is imperative that employees possess high levels of operational knowledge. With high operational knowledge, individuals can assess and qualify risks effectively, enhancing the quality of their guidance and advice. This is, of course, in addition to exceptional legal skills.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

Communication is key. Frequent communication, such as through training sessions, and general alignment between departments are necessary.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

I am passionate about our industry in general (the maritime, fuel, and energy sectors), especially in regard to the current green transition that is underway.
