What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

Our most recent significant transactions include the acquisition of Kerecis, an Icelandic based company who is pioneering the use of fish skin and fatty acids in cellular therapy; and the completion of an equity raise valued at about kr.9bn.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

Strong business acumen, having an enterprise mindset and the ability to translate complicated legal analysis into short and concise guidance which can be operationalised are all unique qualities.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

By aligning departmental and legal objectives with commercial objectives; defining clear roles and responsibilities; and ensuring team members are proactively engaging with commercial leaders, I have been able to encourage collaboration between the legal department and fellow business counterparts.
