What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

The legal team successfully concluded the legal assessment and implementation of the company’s transformed new direct sales model, “Retail of the Future”. This involved, among others, drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and signing the new agency contracts, direct sales documents and other official formalities required to be taken into consideration. Legal issues are being handled with a business-oriented approach upon the post effect of this transaction.

What strategic priorities are guiding you and your team in 2024?

Data privacy issues resulting from digitalisation is a key priority in 2024. Conducting risk assessments is essential to identifying and mitigating the potential risks. Contract and litigation management is also important to us, and we aim to minimise legal exposure, ensure the enforceability of contacts and protect the company’s interests. Legal technologies and innovations are increasingly becoming crucial, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

I am passionate about contributing to the company’s overall success by ensuring legal compliance with laws and regulations. This, among several others, involves championing social justice and equality – anti-discrimination laws, workplace safety regulations, and environmental protections.
