I am happy to share that we have worked on several corporate restructurings within the region in order to bring tax efficiency to the company.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

It is mandatory to have a very good understanding of the business and be customer obsessed. The legal function needs to be a business partner and work very closely with different areas.

How have you fostered a closer collaboration between the legal department and your business counterparts?

I believe that the legal function should not work on a standalone basis. Legal teams should always partner with the business and focus on clients.

Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?

I am passionate about diversity and inclusion, especially the empowerment of women. There is a lot of work to do, and we need to create more awareness and always raise D&I as a topic for discussion.
