Maintaining a strategic and proactive vision, anticipating possible scenarios and legal risks that may arise. Also, it is essential to develop contingency plans and action protocols appropriate to each situation.

It is also important to strengthen communication and coordination with the different areas of the Company, developing collaborative work. Having identified the main legal risks associated with the crisis, establishing mitigation measures and contingency plans in anticipation of possible litigation or claims and eventual sanctions is fundamental.

The alignment of the legal strategy with the commercial strategy is fundamental and it seems to me that the key is that the decisions made maintain the focus on the client, contributing from the legal side by offering solutions with a proactive, flexible vision and aligned with the commercial objectives.

What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?

Generative artificial intelligence, which will improve the efficiency of lawyers by automating routine tasks so they can focus on higher-level tasks. AI can quickly analyse large volumes of legal documents, case law, legislation, identifying information relevant to a given legal case. This will save time and improve the quality of legal analysis. It can also help in drafting contracts and other legal texts. In my opinion, other technologies that could have an impact include the automation of legal processes, key to automating various tasks such as drafting legal documents, monitoring deadlines and reducing errors. Also, proactive data analysis is becoming more essential, as the use of algorithms to review large volumes of documents greatly helps lawyers make more informed strategic decisions.
