Barclays Bank of Kenya had an 11% net profit raise during 2014 and sought approval to establish an insurance business in the jurisdiction. The Bank announced a deal with Samsung Electronics East Africa in the same year, allowing all Kenyan Barclaycard customers to purchase the Galaxy Note 4.
