An international corporate lawyer with 20 years of experience at international law firms and multinational corporations, Anna Siakotos’ career has seen her work in London, Moscow and New York. Since April 2016 Siakotos has served as associate general counsel in the London offices of Millicom, a leading telecommunications and media company that operates under its “Tigo” brand and is dedicated to emerging markets in Latin America and Africa.

In the latter, Millicom operates in Chad, Ghana, Rwanda and Tanzania. Siakotos’ impact on Millicom’s operations in Africa has so far been very effective; not only did the company announce the successful sale of its Senegal operations in February 2017 but also grew its service revenue by 14% in 2016 and expanded its EBITDA margins. Before Millicom, Siakotos served in the legal departments of Accenture, Worldpay and Central European Media Enterprises. She started her professional legal career in 2000 as an associate at international law firm Debevoise & Plimpton and holds degrees in law from Moscow University and New York University. Outside of her professional life, Siakotos is a member of the ArtSocial Foundation, a philanthropic members’ club that aims to enrich and transform the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people through the arts.
