The legal support for the complex, multinational operations of this company is extensive, with vast regulatory and supply chain issues to oversee. Ewoud van Gellicum is a relatively recent addition to the in-house legal function at Steinhoff International, having joined in April 2017, but has made a major impression in this short time.

His career thus far provides an ideal background to his current challenges. Previously general counsel of car navigation system manufacturer TomTom and general counsel and compliance officer of Atrium European Real Estate, his most recent role prior to working with Steinhoff International was with investment firm Dasym.
