As a senior legal advisor for the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC), Helen Ibbotson works within a team that advises on the legalities of IFC’s debt, equity and PE funds’ investments throughout sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on infrastructure power and renewables. Ibbotson previously served as a senior associate for Clifford Chance in the London and Hong Kong office for six years.

The bank is a member of the World Bank Group, the largest global development institution focused exclusively on the private sector in developing countries. Ibbotson has helped strengthen this initiative, advising on financial resources as well as technical and global expertise to help the banks partners overcome financial, operational and political challenges.
