Coca-Cola’s Mohamed Komara has consistently been named amongst Africa’s most talented legal managers, having demonstrated a flawless track record of establishing highly organised legal teams and developing robust policies, standards and processes across the West and Central part of the continent.

During his three-year tenure at Coca-Cola, Komara has worked in close collaboration with subject matter experts from the company’s global function to provide resourceful legal and business advice on a wide variety of areas. Particular fields of excellence during this period for Komara have included his work to maintain integral legal databases within the function, his development of appropriate training initiatives to senior management and his active engagement with and support of business subsidiaries.

Komara formerly served briefly as a general counsel and compliance officer at building materials company Holcim and legal and compliance director (focusing on West and Central Africa) at pharmaceutical giant GSK. Prior to that he served for over five years as a senior legal counsel for West and Central Africa at British American Tobacco and as a legal and tax manager at EY.
