As one of the largest banks in Africa, UBA currently offers financial services to over seven million customers across 750 branches in 19 African countries. Its highly experienced lawyer Samuel Adikamkwu has been with the bank for over 22 years, initially serving as company secretary and then as general counsel.
In recent years, Adikamkwu and his legal team have been instrumental to a number of noteworthy transactions and expansion projects across Africa, including a recent €60m lending programme to support private sector investment in Nigeria.
In addition, Adikamkwu has been instrumental in his support of the management’s efforts to digitise its services in Africa by facilitating the introduction of innovative new projects, such as, the account reconciliation software, CLIREC.
