Regional legal counsel (West, Central Africa and Algeria) and deputy managing director (Ivory Coast) | Citigroup
With almost 40 years in the country, global financial services company Citigroup first established a presence in the Ivory Coast in 1975, and today operates through two legal entities; the subsidiary, Citibank Côte d’Ivoire SA, and the brokerage vehicle, Citicorp Securities West Africa (CSWA), licensed with the regional capital markets authority.
As the deputy managing director of Citi’s Ivorian operations, Youssouf Fadika is commended for his managerial and operational knowledge in addition to his regionally-focused legal knowledge that spans the wide-reaching jurisdictions of West Africa, Central Africa and Algeria. Fadika is spoken of highly by peers, including a nominating source that claims ‘we have been working with [Fadika] for more than a decade on several areas of law including banking, corporate, finance and labour law, [and] from the experience of working almost monthly with him, we can attest that [he] has a strong work capacity with a high quality of professionalism’.
