Nestlé
Nestlé Equatorial African Region (EAR) is active in 21 countries within Equatorial Africa. The legal team, led by Kenya-based legal manager Reena Shah is involved in a wide range of health initiatives and humanitarian efforts across Africa, contributing to product safety, healthy lives and inclusive communities.
The Nestlé EAR legal team has been integral to these global commitments in the areas of nutrition, water and rural development whilst also having a specific focus on compliance and human rights. For example, the team contributed to Nestlé Grains Quality Improvement Project (NGQIP), a scheme put in place to reduce the high levels of mycotoxins in dried fruits, cereals and nuts sourced from Central and West Africa. Nestlé has also built specialised village resource centres in the Eastern Region which allow pupils in these communities have access to information and communication technology training. Operating to the highest standards, the legal team is providing a high benchmark for all others to follow.
