Nigerian Breweries
The largest brewing company in Nigeria and one of the largest in Africa overall, Nigerian Breweries produces some of the most recognisable brands in Nigeria and West Africa. In November 2015, the company achieved a major milestone when it launched international cider brand Strongbow in Nigeria, the first cider to be produced in the country. The company has also furthered its corporate social responsibility efforts, and has embarked on a number of community outreach projects including investing in educational facilities around Nigeria, a move that has seen it receive plaudits from numerous sources.
The company has also signed a large advertising deal with UEFA to sponsor the 2016/17 Champions League football competition in the country, which will provide even more exposure to their already well-known brands. The legal team at Nigerian Breweries has been at the centre of these efforts, and is trusted to contribute to strategic matters at the decision-making level of the business.
