Arik Air
A successor of Nigeria Airways, whose facilities it took over three years after that company’s liquidation in 2006, Arik Air has grown slowly but steadily since then. It now operates an up-to-date fleet of narrow-body and regional jets constituting the largest roster of aircraft in West Africa. Thanks in large part to its well-regarded legal department, it has major orders on the book that will drastically change the company’s offering to customers and give it a much greater range of strategic possibilities. As well as new Boeing 737 MAX jets that will keep its short-haul operations up to date, it also has a major order on the books for wide body Boeing 787-9 aircraft which will allow it to provide a very competitive long-haul package for customers, also providing scope for further growth in the future.
