Andrés Maldonado
Senior corporate counsel, Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia | Johnson controls
Andrés Maldonado joined integrated fire and security solutions company Tyco as manager of legal and public affairs for Argentina and Uruguay in March 2015. This role saw him working to develop relationships with regulatory bodies in the region while also helping to develop ties between different stakeholders in the security services market and helping to oversee the company’s corporate and social responsibility programme. In 2016, Tyco merged with diversified technology and industrial components producer Johnson Controls. Maldonado continues to advise the newly integrated company on its interaction with local government authorities and his role has since expanded to include oversight of the Colombian market. He has over 10 years’ worth of experience advising multinational companies across a number of sectors and has previously served as legal manager for Argentina at both multinational agribusiness Monsanto and retailer Carrefour. Immediately prior to joining Tyco, Maldonado was senior counsel at GHB Abogados, where he advised multinational companies and Argentine business groups on regional investment projects and new business ventures.
