Daniel Seoane has served as vice president of legal and compliance at Seguros Sura Argentina since May 2016. A member of Colombia-based Sura Group – one of the largest financial services groups in Latin America and the majority shareholder in Bancolombia – Seguros Sura Argentina was formed during Sura Group’s acquisition of the Latin American assets of UK insurer Royal & Sun Alliance, where Seoane had served as legal director for Argentina since 2011. Seoane’s input and guidance during the acquisition and integration meant that he was the perfect candidate to continue the oversight of the new entity. Seoane is praised for his ‘excellent skills as a lawyer and his thorough understanding of a wide range of matters impacting the insurance sector’. Before moving in-house, Seoane spent 13 years at Argentine firm Estudio Beccar Varela.
