Legal director Southern Cone area | British American Tobacco
Rodolfo Perazzo
Legal director Southern Cone area | British American Tobacco
Since 1898 British American Tobacco has produced and marketed cigarettes in Argentina under various brand names and currently employs approximately 850 people across a corporate office, an industrial plant and distribution centres across the country. In 2016, it assumed the name and branding of British American Tobacco (having previously been known as Nobleza Piccardo), aligning it with the corporate brand used in more than 180 countries worldwide. The Argentinian subsidiary of British American Tobacco has established itself as a profitable entity in its own right, despite challenges in the market including severe price competition and new enforcement actions by the government. Despite being based in Chile, Rodolfo Perazzo has a remit that covers the entire Southern Cone region for British American Tobacco as its legal director. Highlighting his exceptional work in the region, Perazzo has received praise from nominators for succeeding in his role as ‘an Argentine lawyer working in a different country with different laws and regulations’. Perazzo is commended across several areas including his leadership, planning, business strategy and company law.
