Serving as head legal counsel for Latin America at SAS Institute, the global leader in business analytics software and services, Federico Frachia Sabaris is an international corporate lawyer with over 10 years of cross-border experience. Described as being ‘proactive’, ‘results-oriented’ and ‘exceptional’ by several nominating sources, Frachia has a proven track record of legal and business expertise. He provides legal advice in civil, labour, commercial and corporate matters to all SAS subsidiaries located in the south of Latin America. Frachia joined SAS in June 2014 and has focused on ‘improving the game of the team’, making sure legal work is in line with the company’s objectives. During his tenure at SAS, Frachia has enforced click-wrap agreements in different jurisdictions, as well as worked regionally with various regulations. ‘Working with different regulations upgrades your legal grip, and helps you think about alternatives regarding the same matter’, he explains. Frachia’s previous in-house experiences include working for PwC and Volkswagen Argentina as a senior legal counsel. He obtained both his undergraduate law degree and a Master’s degree in economic law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina.
