Fernando Freire has 20 years of legal experience, which included private practice roles with Sáenz Valiente, Padilla & Asociados, Hunton and Williams and Pozo Gowland between 1996 and late 2007, when he first joined Grupo Insud. He was made legal director in 2017 and has excelled in the role ever since.

He is considered an expert in intellectual property law and antitrust matters, as well as commercial litigation.

He was recently involved in a federal project to strengthen regulatory compliance in the agribusiness sector across the country. This was in partnership with the National Food Protection Agency, and is helping to promote safe practices among food producers.
