Hernan Iglesias has served IMPSA as general counsel since 2011, having been with the company since 2005. He advises new businesses on the formation of corporations and business structures, drafting privacy policies and structuring commercial transactions.

Iglesias provided expert legal guidance on the technological cooperation agreement entered into in 2018 by the company and the government of Mendoza promoting the development of renewable energy. The agreements purpose is to cooperate on the design and manufacturing of a 5 MW wind-powered generator using IMPSA’s experience as the only Argentine company developing high powered wind production facilities.

In February 2019, IMPSA successfully delivered the first three 103 MW units of its “Colider Project”, a new hydroelectric station located in northern Mato Grosso, Brazil on the Teles Pires River. This project that will provide energy for up to one million people, and the legal aspects of the cross-border deal were led by Iglesias, and is a major part of the company’s global expansion.
